Art Kites
Our expanding range of silk, hand-painted art kites features well known figures from
traditional Chinese legends. They are a unique decoration, equally eye-catching on the wall
or in the sky.

These kites are literally works of art, and the bamboo frames often feature intricate shapes to
enhance the design. Many art kites are based on a fat sand swallow design, as it offers a
large surface for painting. Most of the larger kites can be broken down into sections, and
come supplied with streamers for stable flight.

Our kite makers in Beijing have a huge variety of designs. Far more than we could possibly
ever sell on a regular basis. Often only a few are made at a time, so
contact us if you see
something you like, or if you have a special request. Below is just a small sample, and kites
can be made to order based on a design of your own, or around a message you wish to
express.
